Coming in Spring 2016
The bees have been ordered and will be arriving from our beekeeper in late spring, 2016. We’re in the process of clearing a space for them along the south side of the barn, close to the vegetable garden and the orchard.
We’re trying to keep our expectations low, given all the difficulties beekeepers have been experiencing lately. In our first year we’d be happy with enough honey for personal use and maybe some Christmas gifts. Anything more than that would be a bonus.
